Celebrating the first year online
8 Apr 09
CA Mag online celebrated its first birthday this week. This has been one of the most exciting periods in my time with the magazine, not least because of the leap from a monthly print publication schedule to a medium that is pretty much instantaneous
It really hit me that things had changed when I posted my second blog on the site from Luxembourg. The Web makes the media world faster and smaller, and the feedback we get from CAs around the world really underlines that.
It’s also possible for the Web to offer things like video interviews, which have proved one of the most popular features of the site.
In March we logged nearly 33,000 individual visitors to CA Mag online, which is double the number we had at the start. It’s probably helped, in a way, that this has been one of the most turbulent times in business that anyone can remember. It’s been great to be able to react to events on a day by day basis.
One of the other positives about the Web, from my point of view, has been the fact that it is an interactive medium. The opportunity to see your comments has been great – but we can always do with more, so keep them coming!
