Make sense of the future at Gleneagles

Bookings are coming in for the CA Conference, to be held at the Gleneagles Hotel on 3 and 4 September

Leading figures speaking at the conference include historian, writer and broadcaster Niall Ferguson, and International Accounting Standards Board chairman Sir David Tweedie, whose topic will be “Accountants: Bean-counters or market drivers?”

The restaurateur Charan Gill and Professor Stewart Hamilton of the IMD Business School, Lausanne, will also speak.

Key topics covered at the conference, with the theme of “Making Sense of the Future” include:

• global trends driving change in business;

• trends in the global economy, economic shifts and the emergent economies;

• new sources of opportunity, risk and turbulence;

• emerging business models ; and

• challenges for the accounting profession.

Attendance at the two-day residential event costs £550 + VAT and is open to ICAS members and their business advisers.

Delegates are also eligible to enter the ICAS Golf Challenge

(£50 + VAT) which takes place just before the conference, also at Gleneagles.
