Production Services Network has bought Tartan Engineering in Canada

Fresh from winning the corporate category of Finance Director of the Year last month, Duncan Skinner of Aberdeen-based Production Services Network (PSN) is celebrating his company’s latest acquisition.

PSN has bought Tartan Engineering, a private Canadian company specialising in engineering, procurement, construction and management in the energy and utilities industry. Tartan has over 7,000 projects in Canada, and its 150 employees will join PSN’s global workforce of 8,500.

“We’re delighted to get our second acquisition over the line,” said Skinner. “Strategically, it’s very important, as it gives us a platform into western Canada. Some of our competitors have already been getting in there and we’re very happy to pull through all of PSN’s capability into the region.”

Dieter Kromm, chief executive officer of Tartan Engineering, said: “Joining this network offers Tartan employees great opportunities for technical and managerial career development.”
