ICAS AGM: 18 April in Glasgow

Members are reminded that the AGM of ICAS will be held in Glasgow on 18 April

Members are reminded that the Annual General Meeting of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland will be held on Friday, 18 April 2008 at The Lighthouse, Mitchell Lane, Glasgow at 12.30 pm.

The notice calling the meeting along with the Annual Review and Summary Financial Statements will be sent to members under separate cover.

The full annual Consolidated Financial Statements will be available on the Institute’s website and sent to members only on specific request.

The Annual General Meeting will be invited to elect office-bearers for 2008/2009. The Council has nominated as candidates for election as office-bearers, Glenn Fraser Whyte Allison as President, James Douglas Nisbet as Senior Vice-President and Alan Thomson as Junior Vice-President. No other nominations have been received.

In accordance with the relevant provisions of Rule 46, it is hereby intimated that at the latest date for lodging nomination papers, namely Friday, 22 February 2008, the number of persons remaining validly nominated for each of the four electoral areas below did not exceed the vacancies occurring in each electoral area and the following persons, nominated as members of Council, were accordingly elected for the areas shown hereunder and no voting will take place in respect of such nominations.

For the International Area, no nominations were received and in terms of Rule 48(4) the Council is required to appoint a member to represent that Area.
