Chartered accountants looking to add internal auditing to their skills have until 31 August to register for the Advanced Diploma of the Institute of Internal Auditors - UK and Ireland (IIA) if they wish to make full use of current exemptions
Qualified accountants have, until now, enjoyed exemptions from parts of the IIA’s professional internal auditing qualifications. The IIA is bringing to an end the automatic entitlement for CCAB holders to progress to the IIA Advanced Diploma without first completing the IIA Diploma in Internal Audit Practice.
After 31 August, all candidates will need to hold the PIIA designation by completing the IIA Diploma, before progressing through to the IIA Advanced Diploma. Before 1 September, you can register as long as you intend to complete within three years.
